Anecaa Annual General Body Meeting conducted At Sanbagh Hotel, Basheerbagh on 22-07-2018.
Mr.C.Sankara Reddy, President in his formal speech told that main object of our association is to arrange GBM cum family get together twice in a year to meet all members along with their family members, to enquire welfare of each others, share feelings, exchange views, transfer technologies etc.
For the entertainment of members we invited Sri. Garikapati Narasimharaogaru, well known Sahasravadhanulu, Sri. Jonnavitthula Ramalingeswararaogaru, famous Lyrics writer and also Parade King, Sri. Ravi Kondalaraogaru, the seniormost cines Character Actor and also good writer, Sri. Gatti Krishna Murthy Aasu Padya Kavi, Mimicry artists, arranged dance and music programs and also conducted Anecaa Paduta Teeyaga – Musical contest within Anecaa family members.
Next object is to do something to our college. We got a lot from it and because of our college only we are all at present comfortable position. We have to give back some thing. We have given training chairs 200 numbers costing Rs.7.34 lakhs to the college main auditorium, books worth of Rs.3.00 lakhs to Library(1963 batch),constructed one room for college dispensary (Amararaja batteries group),some more chairs and lab equipment by Mr Munikrishna).We have given Merit awards to the out going topers of ECA. Anecaa has set up Education Corpus fund a year back and some members have donated Rs.4.67116/-.(Rs.4.00/-lakhs kept in FD) to provide financial support from interest generated only to needy deserving students of our College.
Mr.c.Sankara Reddy, President introduced amendment proposals for By Laws under clause Nos. 6, 6.2, 6.3, 7, 13, 21 and 23. All the amendments proposed are approved by the members. In brief.
The association shall have two classes of Membership:- 1.Honorary Member and 2. Member. Any person who had studied In CEA (JNTUA) shall be eligible to be a member on payment of Membership fee as fixed by the association and eligible to vote and also eligible to be elected as member of the Managing Committee. Substitute Member in place of Life Member in all clauses.
As per clause No. 26 of By-Laws Managing Committee shall have power to co-opt three more members and they will not have voting rights. The persons in the posts of:-1. Director, Foreign Affairs and Alumni Matters, JNTUA and 2. Alumni Secretary, CEA JNTUA; are co-opted on request during GBM dt.12-3-17 to have better coordination with JNTUA and ECA JNTUA.It is agreed in the present AGBM to co-opt permanently the persons in those two posts. To that extent this clause shall be amended.
Members unanimously passed the resolution to have one room for association in the premises of Engineering College Anantapuram preferably in Alumni guest house. To that extent request letter for allotment will be sent to the concerned.
Anecaa felicitated Mr. Vithal Murthy aged 80+. Mr. N.Gururaj, 1970 batch identified alumni of ECA residing at Bangalore and conducted get together meetings in an appreciable way. For his good efforts he is also felicitated. Prof.V.Sankar; Alumni Secretary, JNTUA CEA, Co-opted member attended the AGBM.(Persons in the designations “Director of Foreign Affairs and Alumni Matters JNTUA†and “Alumni Secretary,JNTUA CEA†are permanently co-opted members of Managing Committee).
Mr. K.Durga Rao, Treasurer and Mr. V. Vijayachandra Rao the then treasurer presented audited balance sheet at 31st March, 2018 and also clarified certain members doubts. Audited balance sheet presented is approved by the members. Mr. Durga Rao proposed to merge all F Ds under different heads: General fund(Rs.8.5 lakhs); Building fund(Rs.3.81lakhs); Merit award fund(Rs.3.25 lakhs) and Anecaa Educational Corpus Fund(Rs4.67lakhs) to keep under Anecaa –Hyderabad – General Fund and to spend only interest generated without disturbing F Ds/capital amount. Proposal approved by the members.
Mr.N.Koteswararao, General Secretary, in his report explained all the activities taken up in chronology order during the tenure 2016 – 2018 and business ended with his vote of thanks.
Elections conducted by Mr.Kalidas, Mech 1967 as returning officer and declared all 15 nominations filed have been unanimously elected as members of Managing Committee for the tenure 2018 – 2020 and announced the list of members elected as:- Sarvasri 1. Varadacharyulu.K; and 15. Sankara Reddy.C; Civil Anecaa thanked Mr.Kalidas for accepting to act as election officer and for completing the task successful with utmost perfection.
The event was followed by good lunch, with major contribution from the executive members, who have paid Rs.3,000/- each.
