We the most of alumni of ECA came from remote rural areas of Anantapur, Kadapa, Kurnool , Chittoor , Nellore, Present Prakasham, Guntur ,Krishna and both Godavari Districts. Most of us came from simple and very ordinary poor families. We used to walk barefoot up to our High School studies. Most of us were below poverty line (BPL). Even after joining in Engineering College we were not comfortable. Yet we kept our spirit up worked hard and struggled for existence and reached present comfortable zone and enjoying fruits of our hard work while taking all opportunities that came in our way. Thank God for all those Opportunities.
Now as we are in comfortable zone we must as you all do, think of others who have not had the same opportunities. I am sure all of you already helping a great deal in this regard. Helping your family members, friends and communities dear to you is great indeed. I hope you are doing your best based on your resources and preferences. It is our moral responsibility that makes us different.
However, there are so many young people not blessed like us. With a sense of caring and sharing we must discharge that social obligation also. I think it can be financial resources or sharing our time or our knowledge/ wisdom/influence so that they too can prosper. They in turn will, hopefully, share their resources with future generations.
ANECAA (Anantapur Engineering College Alumni Association) felt that it will be a noble cause, if all of us individually and collectively support the financially needy students, who take admission in our Alma Mater, Engineering College Anantapur- JNTUA.
Even though most of the students who take admission are provided with financial assistance in one way or other way by the Central and State Governments, there could be about 25% of students are not covered under any Government schemes for various reasons, but need financial assistance to pursue their education.
Now ANECAA would like to leave a legacy by setting up “ANECAA EDUCATIONAL CORPUS FUND†to provide economic support to those deserving students of our ECA JNTUA by arranging loans from schedule banks (giving sureties) / giving outright grants/ any other methods suggested by experts. The corpus fund or say Capital amount should never be used but interest earned on that alone will be used and to that extent a clause to be added to Anecaa bye laws. Create opportunity for them as Education is the only way to overcome poverty. One of the popular quotation: “Don’t give fish to a hungry man but teach him how to fishâ€. Education does that. Proof is our careers.
We want to show that we share and care. Does not matter how much it can be whatever your circumstances permit. Big or small. Even if you have already serving several causes in your family, friends, and communities’, please consider this request as an additional opportunity for you to show your kindness and generosity.

I appeal to one and all those connected with ECA -JNTUA, past and present and other well wishers to contribute to the said noble cause whatever you can to the ANECAA Educational Corpus Fund(AECF) and help our Alma Matter to become the only college in the country, where any student who gets admission will be ensured of financial assistance, to pursue his/her studies. This will also help ECA JNTUA to attract the best students with good ranks but financially weak. It does not matter size of your share. But please do give. You can pledge an amount and pay it in installments say so much each month or year. Your participation in setting up “AECF†is most important.
