Dear Friends, I am herewith presenting the Report on the Activities of Anecaa Hyderabad for the Year 2015-16
During this period i.e.,2015-16,the activities of Anecaa Hyderabad,were continuous by conducting various cultural programmes ,social functions besides continuing the drive for the increase in Membership of the Organisation.All the Members of the Management Committee showed their interest in conducting various functions and also motivate the Members of Alumni to become Lifemembers.As per the appeal made by the President of Anecaa there is good support from some members in funding towards Presenting a suitable Momento or a useful item for the Students of College of Engineering Ananthapuram.Still Members’ are to contribute for the cause and on behalf of Anecaa HYD I request all the Members to fund for the purpose generously.Thecontinuous existence of the Association is mainly due to the combined efforts of the Managing Committee members and encouragement and guidance of all members of Anecaa.I thank all the Members of ANECAA in this regard.
The Committee met 6 times during the year 2015-16 and deliberated on various issues and released minutes which are uploaded in website.
Membership Growth:
There is a marked improvement in the Membership drive and as result the present total Members enrolled stood at about 700.Out of this Life Members are 400 and other Members are 300.All the committee Members are persuing the annual members get converted to Life Member.The efforts put in by the Management Committee Members are appreciable.
During the Annual Generalbody Meeting held on 16-08-15 various cultural activities were conducted besides the AGM.Dr G.Sateeshreddy,1985 batch Alumni was honored due to his prestigious award given by the Central Government.
Dr.Garikipati Narasimharao,renowned Sahsraavdhani delivered lecture,called “Sneha Sandhya”which was very interesting to the audience and applauded.He had chosen the topic since Anecaa depicts age old bonds in friendship and the audience received the subject with great enthusiasm.The guest was honored by all the Committee Members present on the Dias on behalf of Members of Anecaa with shawl and purse in token of his presence among Anecaa Members on the day.
Prof V.Sankar,Director,Foreign affairs&Alma matter who has attend the Meet, briefed the audience with activities on JNTUA and the various courses conducted,apart from tie ups with other Universities in the Country and Abroad.
During the Meeting condolence resolution was passed in the Memory of past President of India,Sri A.P.J.Abdul Kalam who had passed away on 31-07-15.
Get-Togethers:
on 17-01-16 there was a family Get-together conducted in the Instituion of engineers “Visvesaraya Bhavan” Khairatabad.Lectures by some eminent professors and Rotarians were delivered.Quiz Programme was conducted by Mr.U.N.Murty and Mr.Rajgopal members.Members participated and answered my the quizzes.Tambola game was conducted by Mrs &Mr.Satyanandarao,member.AllMembers enjoyed all the programmes and also the Lunch served.
Merit Awards:
During the meet on 17-01-2016 Merit Awards were presented to 6 toppers from CEA in 6 Branches of Engineering.In all 3Girl students who could attend the function were given the Awards consisting of Silver Plaque and Certificate of Anecaa Hyderabad.The other 3 Awardees,who could not attend will be receiving by post/courier.
Website:
Anecaa website is further improved into more faculty and friendly.All information and activities are being posted in the Website.Codolence messages of the members who passed away are also being posted.All Members are requested to inform the Committe Member whenever any alumnus expires so that the condolence message can be posted for information among all Members of Anecaa.
This report will be uploaded in the website of Anecca so as to facilitate all Members to go through it.
Social Services:
In order to take part in the social activities all the Members of Anecaa were requested to donate the the clothes and other useful material to the needy and poor thro an NGO who had come forward to receive the same.Accordingly the clothes and other material were handed over to th NGO to distribute among the poor.
I thank Anecaa,Hyderabad and all Members,for giving the opportunity to serve as Secretary for the period 2014-2016.
