It is my previlage to present the Secretary’s Report of ANECAA, Hyderabad for the year 2011-2012
During the tenure of this Body, i.e. 2010 to 2012 ,the activities of ANECAA, Hyderabad, has made good progress and developments in all branches of our activities. This was possible only with the active participation of all the managing committee members and encouragement and guidance of all the members. I thank all the members for the same. I mention here the details of achivements for your information
Membership growth:
ANECAA, Hyderabad membership has grown considerably during these two years. The total membership i.e. Annual and Life Member were – 446 at the end of 2010 has grown to -486-at the end of 2011 and – 564-at the end -June 2012 Excluding members enrolled on the day of AGM. The categorization of members is as given below life member -250 and Annual Members -314
In this context I request, all the annual members to become life members for the mutual benefit of ANECAA and members. It is really diffcult to keep track, update records of Annual Members and is delicate everytime to remind members for the Annual fee. If Every one becomes life member it is easy to maintain list of members. The initiative taken by Mr. UN Murthy, Vice President for this cause deserves appreciation.
Own Office Building:
Anecaa Hyderabad does not have any premises owned by Anecaa. The need was felt for the same for meeting the statutory requirements as well as for conducting meetings of management committee. Initiative was taken by Anecaa Hyderabad for raising funds for acquiring premises for own office. Separate bank account was opened and contributions received from members are deposited in the account and not clubbed with finances of Anecaa account or merit awards account. So far we have received Rs 65000/.from members. Members are requested to contribute as much as possible so that the objective of owning premises can be realized as early as possible. This is required to overcome the current problems for holding meetings and for keeping records of Anecaa. Initiative taken by Mr. Rama Chandra Murthy, Secretary for this cause deserves appreciation.
Get-togethers:
Get together were organized on the dates given below to improve the gatherings and to improve the bondage amongst families of members of Anecaa.

Efforts are being made to improve quality of fellowships/get-togethers using in house talent and external talent to make the gatherings more attractive to the families of members. Further initiative is taken to identify in house talent and give opportunity for talented people to exhibit their talents and entertain the members. The efforts of Mr. Rajagopal for this task is really deserving appreciation
Financial Growth:
Anecaa, Hyderabad is managing all the activities out of interest on FDRs and Annual Contributions by Annual members. This has resulted in amount in FDR being untouched. Further life membership contributions are added to the FDRs invariably as a matter of policy and this initiative is swelling the FDRs further.
Merit Awards:
Anecaa, Hyderabad would like to express sincere gratitude to donors of Merit Awards. The funds raised for this task has reached about 5lakhs. The donations are kept in a separate account and the interest on the same is being utilized for giving medal, citation and cash award to the toppers of six branches of College of Engineering Anantapur. This is the third year the awards have given successfully. The initiative taken by Mr. K.A. Ramayya Vice President who has been organizing the merit awards right from the beginning deserves appreciation. Support extended by Mr. Indrasen Reddy for this initiative is deserving appreciation
However the long term objective of giving scholarships to the meritorious students could not be taken forwarded for want of funds.

Website of Anecaa, Hyderabad has become more attractive with additional facilities, advertisements, membership information, photo galleries and other contents. Continuous improvement is being made to make the website more attractive and to inculcate the habit of frequent visits by members. Mr. Rama krishnaiah has taken keen interest for improving the website and he deserves appreciation for his efforts. U. Narashimha Murthy deserves appreciation for his initiative of continuously updating and feeding the information on the website.
Amendment of by laws:
The long awaited task of amendment of by laws framed at the inception of Anecaa, Hyderabad has been taken up and successfully completed. Special general body meeting was convened and the amended by laws were passed. The initiative taken by the sub committee comprising of Shri. T. Raja Gopal, Shri. Rama Chandraiah and Shri. Rama rao deserves appreciation. For their intensive and valuable contribution.
Elections to the management committee.
The tenure of the present management committee is ending on 30.06.2012 as per the new by laws. Mr. K V Ranagaiah has consented to conduct elections for the new management committee for the period 2012-2014, Hyderabad in the post lunch session.
